Hello!
I’ve just started talking to someone for a week now, and we have agreed to meet up sometime next year, as I don’t have my new car yet and they live 5 hours from me. And I have enjoyed talking to them so far and would love to see them eventually.
They agreed that they would love to meet me , but we would have to meet up in a state somewhere in the middle, as 5 hours is a long drive for them…. Should I continue to talk with them and meet up eventually?

Is this a good compromise? I just need some advice. Thank you

  1. Why do you have to wait until you get a car? It sounds like things are still early, but if things continue on the right trajectory, and trust has been established, and most importantly, both of you are clear with each other about what you want–5 hours is no big deal.

I’m an old-school man. I’d never drive 5 hours for sex. But would I drive 5 hours for love and intimacy? Yes. It boils down to what each of you are looking for, and where you’re at in your relationship. Actions speak louder than words. If someone is doing something that you don’t like, or refusing to do something that you’d do or want to do, move on. Good luck!
