How do you handle having your first kiss when you’re older?

  1. I was 24 when I had my first kiss and was honest about having no experience and highly likely being awkward about anything that involves affection.

I initially said that to be transparent but also maybe to gauge if the person I was talking to at that time will initiate to teach me how to – and he did 🙂

I could say that being fully ready and willing to try it at 24 was much better than at the thought of my younger self, anxious and not curious, trying for the sake of it.

  2. I had mine at 21, 4years ago. I was awkward and shy about it at first, and had admitted it to a random I just met. She asked if I wanted to kiss and I said Yes, and that was that. Then she asked if I wanted to kiss again and it was a bit longer than the first. The day after it was like “what was all the fuss about” 😅 maybe that’s just me

  3. Accept yourself as you are. You can’t change your circumstances, so any energy spent being self conscious or upset is wasted and not productive. Worse than that, it’s going to hamstring any attempts you make at moving forward. The key is to let go, accept that it’s going to be kind of awkward and messy, and that it’ll make a great story someday.

  4. Is it not just a rush and fun times?! Hope you enjoy the feelings. Perspective may change since it’s been awhile for me but truthfully I would assume the same giddiness would apply (assuming you were about it). Please correct me if I’m wrong. Hope it was worth the wait!

  5. I didn’t have my first kiss til this year when I was 21, and it happened at the same time I lost my virginity. I guess other than the usual nervousness that comes with first times I don’t think I handled it too differently than I would’ve if I was a teen, other than having a better sense in men than I did back then, which made it more special.
