after i have had a really good and bonding conversation with someone, i tend to add them to my provate story so i can be even better friends with them. However, they never seem to add me back to theirs when i know they have one of their own. also, friends sometimes remove me from their private stories. does this mean they just dont like me?

No, it just means you’re not as close to them as they are to others.
They see you more as an acquaintance.
