When people are receptive to feedback, I don’t mind at all. I’ve had great mentors who made a big difference in my career, and I’d like to pass that on. It becomes an issue when feedback is ignored and problems keep reoccurring.
It can get annoying when you see they are not trying to apply the knowledge but I also have to remember that I was also at a point in my life where I was also asking the same thing 5 or 6 times which probably did annoy my mentors at that time.
As I grow older, I realise that the way I used to think during my early working days and now is like night and day.
i don’t mind at all !! my job is relatively “easy,” but there’s a lot of information and it’s very fast paced. i totally understand it takes a while to get it.(my coworker who’s worked here for two years and can’t do half his assigned job…. different story). as long as you take coaching well and implement the information, there’s no reason for anyone to have an issue.
I’m in healthcare, I don’t have a choice, when there is a new hire I’m expected to train the new person. You kind of accept that it will benefit you and the team in the long run knowing more people can do every task. What I find annoying is knowing this person was hired as a senior person to myself and is being paid more than me while I train them.
