What is a brand for bralettes that don’t just look cute but actually have some support? After the last couple of years I can’t imagine going back to a wired bra, but I’m still on the hunt for the perfect bralette (enough to provide some shape and support, not so flimsy to show nipples through a tee kind of thing). Yes I did look at abrathatfits but I found it very USA-based and a little overwhelming.

Thank you!

  1. As the leading UK “ask” subreddit, we welcome questions from all users and countries; sometimes people who ask questions might not appreciate or understand the nuance of British life or culture, and as a result some questions can come across in a different way than intended.

We understand that when faced with these questions, our users may take the opportunity to demonstrate their wit, dry humour, and saracasm – unfortunately, this also tends to go over the heads of misunderstood question-askers and can make our subreddit seem hostile to users from other countries who are often just curious about our land.

  2. Aerie. They’re a US brand and most of the bras I have I bought over there, but they’re stocked on ASOS now. I can’t even describe the fabric – it’s really hard wearing (I machine wash all of my bras, I can’t be fucked with hand washing) but they’re still so soft. I don’t even notice I’m wearing a bra half the time. They have ones with and without the shaping stuff. Not padding exactly but they give a bit of oomph. I can’t speak to the support aspect, as chairwoman of the itty bitty titty committee, but every other aspect is perfect.

  3. I’ve got loads from M&S and similarly I’d never go back to wired bras. They’re so comfy

  4. I exclusively use sports bras (the type you just pull over your head) they don’t look as cute but they’re comfy as long as they fit haha. never used bralettes.

  5. Oddballs. They are all really patterned but so comfortable and provide support.
