What makes the difference according to you and how have you worked through that?

  1. For me, “falling apart” is defined as something major – e.g. losing job, death in family, end of relationship, putting on 10kg. So most of the time I never have to guess which one it is because maybe only once my life was falling apart.

  2. By going to a mental health professional and getting screened for depression. Depression has diagnostic criteria, such as last more then a few months, and has multiple symptoms. Of course, a lot of stress or setbacks in life can trigger depression.

    I suffer from chronic depression and take medication. Ot has helped me tremendously.
