Everybody my age remembers the Knight Rider, the A-Team and MacGyver, but no one seems to recall who was Ralph Hanley/Hinckley or Evie Garland.

“Believe or not” I remember this show.

    >Out Of This World

I was swinging on a star.

  2. I never watched Greatest American Hero and learned of its existence for the first time from an episode of Seinfeld.

I *loved* Out of This World when I was around 7 or 8. I seem to remember the series ended on a cliffhanger and I was not pleased about it, but maybe I’m wrong

  3. I only remember The Greatest American Hero. Having a catchy theme song probably helped lodge it in my memory.

  4. Greatest American Hero was one of my favorites. The theme song is definitely one of the best of all time.

  5. Never watched Greatest American Hero but *loved* Out of this World. I tried to freeze time So. Many. Times. But still ended up late for school.

  6. Yes, I remember those, as well as “Small Wonder”.

The young boy character in the latter was NOT played by the lead singer of Smashing Pumpkins, no matter what people claim.

  7. Never heard of the first one but I was a big fan of *Out of This World* and oddly still think about it somewhat regularly. It was just so bonkers. I also loved seeing her mom, played by Donna Pescow, later as the mom on *Even Stevens*.

  8. I have the DVD set for Greatest American Hero.

I do remember Out of This World — it was part of a line up of largely forgettable sitcoms in the early 90s.

  9. > The Greatest American Hero

Yes, I remember it well. The main thing I remember is how much I disliked it.

  10. I have a vague recollection of Greatest American Hero as some superhero who could fly but had a hard time landing. May have been re runs

Out of This World was the girl that stopped time by putting her fingertips together.

Those shows were several years apart

  11. Believe it or not, Iiii’m walking on air, I never thought I could be so free ee eee! Flying away on a wing and a prayer, whoo ooo could it beeeeee? Believe it or not, it’s just meeee..

Fuck yeah I remember Greatest American Hero. (And all the other shows you mentioned)

  12. Believe it or not, but the singer of the theme song for hero was also one of the presenters of real people.

  13. I have no idea what Out of This World is. I’ve never heard of it before or don’t remember it at least.

But Greatest American Hero I used to watch all the time. I feel like it was on after or before Mork and Mindy too, but it’s been so long my brain could be making that up.

  14. You just reminded me, me and my friends saw the girl that played Evie at the old Westside Pavillion mall in West Los Angeles . This was during the time the show was airing.

She was a bit older than us all and she was walking with her overprotective boyfriend

  15. LOL, those are from two different time periods. I grew up in the early 80s. So I remember Greatest American hero, the original Battle Star Gallatica, Alf, Mork from Ork, The Hulk TV show, Buck Rodgers, Wonder Woman, Jason of Star Command.. But, the other one you mentioned was late 80s.

  16. Im pretty sure I caught reruns of Out of This World. Donna Pescow played the mother in that and was also the mother in Even Stevens
