why do guys (or ladies) deny within themselves that they are having feelings for someone?

  1. My last GF tells me that she was only looking for casual and dumped me because she doesn’t want to have feelings for me and I kept telling her that I love her.

I’m just as baffled as OP.

  2. Because they could have narcissistic tendencies which comes with very low if any self-realization. They have to live in that bubble and cannot be genuine with themselves. A lot of broken people out there, hurt people hurt people! Just one of many theories/possibilities…

  3. Having feelings means you have to do something about them, and that’s exhausting.

For me, having feelings means another emotional roller coaster followed by sometimes polite rejection and having to settle into dying alone all over again. Sucks every time.

  4. Personally for me as a woman, I’d say it’s because of fear or lack of commitment.

  5. In my experience, its because why would this other person have any interest in a piece of shit like me anyway? Better off just to ignore and not get my feelings hurt.

  6. At some point most people will confess because it can get in the way of life when all you think about is this person.

  7. This is really simple.

They are trying to keep themselves from getting hurt.

Knowing full well that you don’t get to pick and choose who you fall in love with

  8. Because I recognize that you don’t get to see a persons true colors until 6 months-2 years into the relationship. I don’t have time for that.

  9. They may not be compatible with the person. They may be scared to say it first. They dont want to get hurt if the other person doesnt. Sometimes they want to act strong and dont say how they feel

  10. I wish I knew the answer to this !!!
why my guy really can’t make his mind up is doing my head in ….. either show up or stop messing with me !
