Would this be considered shy or whatever?

I ain’t one to start convos, whenever I’m in class and there’s a duo activity I just sit there like a twat. I don’t say much and if you don’t say anything, I sure as fuck won’t say anything either. But if a person starts a convo wiv me, especially a girl, I can respond like a normal person even if they’re obviously able to notice I’m not as confident or as extroverted as others. I’m usually grateful if someone starts a convo but over than that I just stay silent. It’s totally different with close friends.

I’m always down to chat with someone in class but if they don’t talk to me I simply keep quiet as what is there to talk about?
