Hey y’all – does this sh’t still happen in US? Would love to see some if so. In Dallas atm but have to be in Austin by Saturday. There’s some Monster Truck Jam on Sunday in Dallas but sadly I’II be gone by then. All tips very welcome 🙂 Thanks

  1. They definitely happen but they’re not like a weekly event in every city or something. Just search for “demolition derby, Texas” and if there’s anything you’ll find it.

    Also (at least where I’m from) December isn’t really the month for derby’s. That’s a much more spring/summer type activity.

    E: sorry but you said Monster Jam and it prompted me to remember old radio ads.

    No idea where you’d find a demolition derby but they seem like the kind of thing that are probably organized at local levels. Maybe try a Google search for “demolition derby club near me” ?

  6. The dirt tracks and such I used to go to for that sort of thing are closed this time of year, most of them pick back up around February or March. It’s a weather/early dark thing.

    There’s a drag stip called Yello Belly that does Thursday nights if you just need a motorsports thing.

    Last one I went to was in the Chicago area. Google it and see if you can find one.

  9. Just FYI… in your search don’t eliminate stuff like figure 8 racing, RV racing, trailer racing… etc. ..

  10. The closest thing we got right now would be to drive through Houston on your way to Austin.
