i know that work friends are different from your just ordinary friends. they’re rather my competitors(that’s what my thinking is).
where we all perform for ourselves except team collaboration and work.
should i keep this attitude on and interact with my co-workers only for work related stuff? i am new to all this so i would appreciate your advice.

Interact but not too deep. Keep them at arms-length. Or like bonfire.. close enough to keep you warm but not too close to get burned. Good luck
