Delete Reddit, lawyer up, hit the gym
The first step in your cure is to delete this post and then remove all Social Media apps from your phone.
Let it ruin a relationship for you. Worked for me
Have some self control and delete the social media apps that you’re addicted to, then use the time that you would’ve been on social media exploring a new, fun hobby. Then notice how little you miss it.
That’s at least what I would do
First delete all social media including reddit
There is a program called ‘Cold Turkey’ I believe that locks social media access for periods of time.
Other than that, the best way to break an addiction is to get another addiction. Maybe try checkers or meth? Meth is probably less harmful.
Best thing to do is have your social scene move into group chats or just text conversations as you can literally do the same thing you do in social media when you have a group chat. The only difference is no one actually gives a fuck about your “status update “ or filtered lie.
Look, it’s not a process or magic formula..its a CHOICE.
Considering I have been on and off Reddit continually since 4AM this morning…
Everything in moderation.
* Delete the apps from your phone.
* Only access social media through a PC web browser.
* Turn off notifications (unless you are on the site).
* Limit your PC time to no more than an hour a day.
Get off reddit
You have to want it bad enough at first.
Accepting that you don’t want it bad enough (because you continue to do it) will help your fundamental understanding to begin with.
You don’t want it bad enough. That’s the addiction.
Next comes the will power to force yourself to do something different and occupy your time productively. That’s something you’ll have to figure out on your own. What task, event, or hobby can you replace to fill out your time?
Try going for a simple walk every time you crave social media. You’ll get tired of going for walks but at least you’re changing your behavior and you’ll be healthier for it too.
Close your Facebook account. One of the 4 best things I ever did in my life.
Reddit, while still social media (at least to me) is not toxic when compared to Facebook.
I deleted everything except reddit years ago and it’s amazing. I’d never remake one, I feel like I’ve outgrown it and am really living life now. I only look at reddit on work breaks. Not having it for es you to do more and pay more attention to the world around you. It’s very peaceful.
Lmao, not make a post on Reddit about it. Just delete everything, or what you think is the worst whatever.
