I’m [26F] dating someone [26m] & we’re not living together yet but do hang out often. Since he lives far & has a car, he usually comes over whenever we wanna hang out. Recently, he’s been coming over for longer periods & I would say he stays here half the time, eg he’s been here the whole week. I was wondering how to manage finances in this case. Would we split groceries on the days he’s here? Feel like it’s hard to track exactly & also too much of a hassle. Not sure what to do in this case. I feel awkward when he asks me to buy him stuff (mostly groceries) cos I feel like I pay more than he does. Should I just suck it up & consider this as a cost of dating?

TL;DR: I’ve been hanging out with a guy & we’re not living together yet but do hang out often, at least few days every week. Since he lives far & has a car, he usually comes over. How should the finances be managed in this case?
