I was talking with my best friend of 4 years last week and she casually mentioned that she had cheated multiple times on each of her past partners (they were serious relationships), and then justified it as if it were no big deal and moved on with the conversation. This was news to me, and if I’m being honest, I’m having trouble looking at her the same because I just can’t respect or condone that. She’s in a new relationship now and is not cheating on her current SO, at least not yet. She also told me last year that she’d never cheated so this is a side to her I wasn’t expecting.
I’m not sure what to do. I don’t feel like I can be as close to her as I was but I don’t know if I am overreacting or not.
Tldr; uncomfortable being friends with a cheater. Any suggestions?
