Americans who work in delivery services ( Example: UPS, Fedex, DHL), how does this year’s holiday peak compare to other years?

I used to work at UPS, but when talking to my previous coworkers, they say this so far is the lowest peak season they have ever seen. They think it might be because of the UPS threat of a strike in August. But I have heard rumors that FedEx has been just as slow.
