What’s the proper response to someone who mentions they aren’t close to their family?
While it wasn’t the first topic nor did they overshare, they mentioned the holidays aren’t important to them
Not sure if they are trying to build rapport, the location and setting being a vulnerable place to air out stuff like this, as it was a sauna too. But they mentioned how they were a black sheep and related it to me. But in my instance, my reasons for not being close to my family were less about me thinking I was different.
