Hey guys.
So tonight is my works Christmas doo. It’s a kind of an unofficial one that’s been sorted by management.
So we needed to pay for the meal.
I think there’s around 50 people coming.
The Only problem is no one from the area I work in are attending and I’m bricking it tbh.
A guy I do know slightly is going to a bar beforehand to watch football and has invited quite a few people including myself to come along.
I’m thinking of showing up to help the nerves pre work meal at the works venue.
I’m really not feeling it at all though and may not go at all due to my social anxiety of being on a table with random people I don’t know.
If this wasn’t work related and was with random people I don’t know, I really wouldn’t mind but being people from work I’m finding it hard to bring myself to the idea.
On one hand it could be a good ice breaker on the other hand it could be a complete embarrassment.
I do get a little loud when drunk although I’m generally quite friendly and not the violent kind.
I’m not usually one to shy away from things and even DJ in clubs just fine without anxiety.
Is any one else in a similar position or able to offer any advice on whether I should go or just give it a miss?
