Been hanging around my crush for the past few weeks (studying mostly). Obviously i’ve been making subtle moves on her. Teasing, cracking jokes, light touches etc. I think i made it pretty obvious that i’m into her. There’ve been signs of her reciprocating. We text everyday. She lets me know when shes doing something etc. Weirdly tho in person when im making eye contact with her she tends to avoid it.
I’m unsure whether she’s just shy or whether it’s that she just doesn’t like me.

Info: are there any cultural differences at play here? I seem to recall some cultures actually prefer to not make direct eye contact as a show of respect? But, I’m woefully ignorant about the issue. Just thinking that knowing this could be helpful to someone.
Maybe she’s shy or maybe she’s not entirely sure you’re interested. Some people need to be told you like them point blank.
I avoid prolonged eye contact sometimes, mine is due to a fear of intimacy I think. Working on it!
