Speaking to the countries where I’ve lived – in Ukraine I think it’s still considered quite unusual for men to work with children, and people will comment upon it outright. Whereas in the US people might not say anything but the hysteria around paedophilia is really consuming, and it will make people look askance in all but the most progressive areas. It’s rather crushing for me because I’m a guy and I love kids, but not in the wrong way. How is it in your country?
