I did not know what to say.

This was 3 years ago when I was in my first year of high school. I go to two highschools gimnasium and music school. I am playing the harp. I was with my friend from music school waiting for the bus when I saw two of my middle school boys friends with whom I had been in my class all 8 years. This one friend noticed me, so he came to say hello, and the other also came. We had mall talk about how we were, what we were doing, and so on. And when I told them that I was in music school, one of the guys commented, “So do you still play that shit?” (I don’t know how this sentence sounds in English, but I literally translated it). He was referring to Harp. I remember to this day being in shock because I didn’t know what to say. I know this guy is very traditional, and he thinks that everything different is dumb because it is not usual to play harp where I am. But I don’t really mind that he said that (well, I do), but the worst part is that I smiled and said, “Yeah.” I can’t stand for myself, and I keep remembering that moment and what could I say back to him.

English is my second language, and I know thi is messy
