Edit: Title blunder; I’m talking about total T

Been experiencing the regular low-t symptoms: nonexistant libido, high stress, poor ability to focus, fatigue. I got my total t tested at my docs, and it came back at 392. I’m 31 years old, so this seems like a particularly bad level for my age. Doc also ordered some thyroid tests, and my TSH came back at 6.2, which is very high, suggesting an underactive thyroid.

What’s crazy is 7 or 8 years ago I was the stereotypical young buck with endless energy and an insatiable libido. I was also exercising a lot, a lot more then.

My diet is probably a lot better generally now than it was when I was younger, but I’ve basically stopped exercising since we had a baby a few months ago. Granted, I wasn’t exercising much before the baby, either.

So, I haven’t heard back from the doctor yet, but my plan is to start hitting the gym hard again to try to improve these health metrics without TRT. Is this realistic, or am I basically just trying to delay the inevitable? What’s a realistic expectation?
