Hey guys, I’m an American (originally from DC) who has been living in Australia/New Zealand for the last four years. Next summer I’m planning a road trip around the US and would like to work along the way to help fund my travels. There’s a big backpacker culture in Aus and NZ, and you can often work in agriculture, hospitality, and tourism in these places (usually rural areas) for short stints, like 2+ weeks. Is this sort of thing possible in the US? If so, what and where?
