In the summer of 2024, me and my friends (we are from Europe) will visit America. We want to visit/experience the other side of America (countryside smaller towns etc) , for example: smaller towns in Kansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama instead of the visiting typical tourist destinations that tourists usually visit (New York, Miami, Los Angeles). I want to know how visiting a smaller city is different compared to Los Angeles, what we should pay attention to, how to behave, what to avoid or what not to do? I hope you understand my questions haha.
