My bf get a boner when he see me crying

Today I found out my boyfriend get aroused when he see me crying. I don’t know what to think about it, I first got judgmental cause I’ve never heard of this before but he told me it’s a biological reaction. I wonder how common it is, and what you guys thinks about it.
