Yeah. I am 22M. Black mom and white dad, both around 50. They’ve been married for 20+ years but have always had a rocky relationship. Lots of stuff happened growing up but its not really important. Never a really great relationship though. My dad called me yesterday and we were talking about how he is moving out of our family’s house. Again. He has just had enough of arguing with my mom about stuff. This was always expected between me and my siblings so not a big deal. We don’t know why he even moved back in to begin with, as my parents relationship was better when they lived apart. I got busy with work so I had to go, but then he called me later and said there was something else he needed to talk about. He gave a whole tirade about how hes not proud about this and whatever, and then tells me that about a month ago, him and my mom were arguing, and she raised her hand at him about to hit him. And so he said “come on n**** hit me”. He has never shown any signs of racism or anything and has been progressive my whole life. It is the last thing I was expecting. I thought he was going to say he hit her first or hit her back or something. I have just been in shock since then and have no idea how to move forward. I am so sick of both my parents, but I just cannot even comprehend how to deal with this specifically. Help
