My girlfriend and I have been dating for 4 years now. We are about to get engage and I already consider I’m working for our future, help her with everything I can, buy her stuff and pay for trips when we go out of town.
Now she is getting a new phone and told me she could sell me her older one. I do need to replace my phone and I’ve never cared for newer models or anything of the sort (im still using my old iphone 7).
THe thing is it doesn´t make sense to buy a phone from her. It´s like paying her with the money I would use for us anyway.
And i don’t resent her for this. I want to keep beheaving and giving her what I feel like doing and giving and understand that she wants to pay for her new phone by selling the old one. She hasn’t even think about other options and that is fine. It just looks like she has not the same the idea than I do about money, at least not yet.

tl;dr: my gf wants to sell me her phone and I feel it is weird after all the money I invest into her and the relationship.
