I’ll keep it short: Despite being told numerous time that I am valid and allowed to be human, I cannot afford to slip and behave human. I feel intense anxiety around socialising, so I try to be perfect. ( Perfect in my opinion is: funny, relatable, speaking in turns, apologising, speaking only when spoken to, always saying the right things, not making anyone uncomfortable…)
Of course, I fail tremendously and fall silent often.

Please enlighten me, why can’t I shake off this need to be socially pristine? How can I ease into socialising? What are the key elements for a cosy socialising experience? Thank you so much for reading this! 🍪🍪🍪🥛🥛🥛for you.
