  1. Still in Bhalil, Morocco, though unfortunately it’s nearly time to head home 😉

We found a guy who owns horses on a nearby farm,so this morning we’re going riding… the horses seem to be in good condition,so hopefully we will get a decent trek.

  2. One of the downsides of working in the public sector/ze government, is that due to money being tight, we usually have to work with limited hardware which is not up to specs with modern facilities. My mobile phone has better specs than the remote desktop I have to work on… 🙁 So, anybody has a supercomputer to spare?

  3. How common are card/contactless payments in the French/Swiss Alps, particularly ski resorts?

I’m skiing there in a few weeks and wondered if I need to bother with cash.

In the UK you can live without cash in almost all scenarios, but last year in the Austrian Alps I found a few of the on-mountain places were cash only, but all the places in towns took card.

  4. Checking the forecast for tomorrow and it looks like it’ll just be rain with a bit of snow in the overnight so I guess it’ll be a good day to stay in and watch some movies.

  5. On the fifth day of veganing, I have completely given up on coffee and black tea because drinking them black gives me stomach ache, and I don’t like any of the plant milks. So, I have been surviving on chamomile and rooibos the past two days. I will maybe try an espresso because this weather just makes me want to hibernate.

    Any favorite herbal teas?

  6. Time to drive to the main office of the management company since they want to ignore my complaints.

Hmm this might be awkward. I shouldn’t be scrolling reddit to learn things

So: the citizenship laws of China say that the child of two Chinese citizens is a Chinese citizen unless they had the child abroad AND had permanent residence at the time of birth. You probably get citizenship anyways if the abroad country won’t grant you citizenship. Dual citizenship is not permissible, so the child needs to pick a citizenship at 18 through some bureaucracy. Good thing they probably don’t know who my parents or relatives are or I need to go through some BS renunciation procedure.

I guess the permanent status part is to prevent the parents from having to leave a foreign country with a child that only that countries’ citizenship.
