And what is their funniest bit, movie, piece of work etc?

  1. George Carlin. It’s impossible to pick a single favorite or funniest moment.

  2. For some of the more recent ones, I love Ali Wong and Iliza Schlesinger.

  3. Mulaney. Messy personal life, but hilarious on stage.

As a person? Nicole Byer. WHAT A TREAT WHAT A DREAM.

  4. George Carlin, it’s hard to pick my favorite bit from him. He had a way to make a lot of topics funny, even the more controversial ones.

  5. Bo Burnham. Favourite piece was probably his Netflix special What and his song Art is Dead

  6. Ricky Gervais, Jo Koy, Hassan Minhaj.

Their stand ups are hilarious. Plus Gervais in all of his interviews and as an award show host is brilliant.

Edit: Michael McIntyre. I watched his clips on YouTube. The dentist one and “as a parent” clip is a must watch.

  7. not necessarily comedians but michaela coel (chewing gum, i may destroy you) and phoebe waller-bridge (fleabag) wrote some of the funniest tv shows i’ve ever watched, like laughing out loud funny, but also so meaningful at the same time. check out their work!!

  8. Ashley Gavin right now. Hilarious lesbian New Yorker, and as a transplant to LA I’ve missed that NYC attitude and she hits just the right spots with queer humor. She does hilarious crowd work!

Dishonorable mention: Chapelle is a bigoted asshole that needs to shut his transphobic ass up. He does great racial humor and was fantastic in the 00s, but success has gone totally to his head and he’s just up his own ass now spreading hate and being wilfully ignorant.

  9. James Alcaster, Hannah Gadsby, Iliza Shensberger, John Pinette are in my tops

  10. Bernie Mac (🕊). The Bernie Mac show is hilarious. Soul Men is absolutely underrated and insanely funny as well
