In America, George Washington is a pretty big deal. He’s on the dollar bill and the quarter, any American could easily identify him even as a cartoon character, and he’s the face of American-centered holidays like the 4th of July or President’s Day.
He was one of the main founding fathers of the country and was seen as the most proactive one since he served as a war general and decided to make himself the very first president of the country. He also established American democracy and chose to not run for a third presidential office, which is crazy because it wasn’t until the 1950s when it became illegal to run for a third term, despite almost every president not having a third term except for FDR.
But who would you call your country’s George Washington? Not just the first elected official but also anyone who caused great innovation and someone who is extremely recognizable to your country’s people and is seen as a great historical figure.
