I’m asking because it happens to me all the time yet, when I tell people about it, it seems an absolute foreign concept such a thing can happen.

Sometimes I can feel the beard splinters going into my fingers, sometimes not. Some are easy to get rid of, but the worst cases have me digging into my fingertips with tweezers.

I don’t have a long beard, but it is longer than just stubble.

How about you?

EDIT: More info, since this seems to be something that indeed does not happen to many people.

My beard is kept about 1/4” on the sides and more or less 1/2″ \~ 5/8” for the rest.

My beard is very coarse. I trim it maybe once or twice a week, then go in the shower. It’s not a case of loose hairs that might still remain.

Splinters can go in for something as innocuous as me scratching my face. My beard is kept long enough it goes past the “sandpaper” effect. Having hands on my face =/= guaranteed splinters.

As mentioned by something in the thread, the trimmer must probably have something to it, and *just* the right angle is enough to make the splinter go in. Length of the splinter, how deep it can go and if I’ll feel it or not is completely random.
