Different people want different things, in terms of specific things. They might want a nice house, a nice car, a nice physique. They might also want less materialistic things like a sense of accomplishment, a sense of safety, meaningful connections, etc.
Broadly speaking, however, I think many of the things people want fall under the umbrella of “happiness” or “joy”. They want the specific things because those things will make them happy (it they believe it will).
But are there things people want that do not fall under that umbrella of joy/happiness? **What is something you want that is** ***not*** **really connected to happiness, and needs its own separate category?**
