My parents are both from Arkansas and I lived there as a kid and moved to California where I still live. One of the things I loved the most as a kid was when my mother or grandmother would make us this nice warm, gooey breakfast of biscuits and chocolate gravy, especially when it was really cold and nasty out. They would make some drop biscuits, or maybe some other type of biscuits that we picked up in the store, the smell making your mouth water as they brown. They would come out of the oven piping hot and we would douse them in butter before pouring on the steaming heavenly dream of chocolaty goodness. Is this more of a Southern style dish, something more regional, or have others had this breakfast in your areas? I’d love to know.
