I read comments that says most people in Scandinavia reject chivalry

Polish man in Scandinavia said whenever he open doors for his female colleagues at work, they almost react as if it’s a provocation or insult. ”I know how to open a door”. he also brought chocolates and flowers to work for women’s day and they all said he shouldn’t have, because it’s an unnecessary commercial holiday that shouldn’t be supported.

Also I read a lot of Scandinavian men do not give their seat to a person just because the person happens to be a woman.

I’m not woman but I think chivalry is sexist , patriarchal and outdated even the word means knighthood there are no knights in the 21st century.

Is it more common in the South?
