In the upper cartilage.

  1. Even after a year it will close up very easy because the upper ear had much more cartilage so if it falls out don’t wait!

  2. Just don’t poke and prod it for a few weeks afterward. And keep it clean. There’s not much else to know.

  3. >what do I need to know?

You have all the orifices that your body needs, ¿Will this new one feed you? ¿Make breathing easier? ¿Will you poop or pee from it? If that’s not the case, ¿Is there an actual reason to have it?

  4. Maybe you need to know that a lot of people will look at it and think very odd thoughts about you.

  5. Don’t play with it. Clean it. Don’t sleep on it. I broke all those rules with all my piercings and they’re fine, so don’t stress if you don’t but better to do so.

    Downsize jewellery when needed.

  6. Go to a professional piercer not at the mall, make sure that if you have a metal allergy you get titanium (hypoallergenic surgical steel and other metals can still cause a reaction if your allergy is severe enough), buy sea salt spray or some after care and use it religiously to avoid keloids, don’t twist or play with the jewelry, don’t sleep on the ear that has the fresh piercing. Be patient. Cartilage piercings can take up to a year- a year and a half to fully heal to where you can put different jewelry in it. And also, get pierced with a stud. Getting pierced with a hoop or ring has an exponentially higher risk of it not healing properly.

  7. Any place that is going to use a piercing gun you don’t want to use. You will most likely have a bump on the back of the ear after it heals. Keep it clean. Piercing aren’t hard to take care of. I’ve had 13ish in my life and never had one get infected.
