I’m older now (early 40s), and looking to date professional, successful women mostly in the 30-38 range.

The apps are just NOT working for me anymore. Not sure if it’s a mix of flakiness, my age, or other. Never loved them in general.

In person I’m generally pretty easy to talk to and have no problem chatting up women, but lately I’m just running out of social circles to do it in. Meetups by me are SUPER guy heavy for most things – I’m talking like 80-90% men and 10-20% women and I haven’t found them to be a great way to meet more women.

I also feel a bit left out of many of the singles “20s and 30s” meetups as a 40-something year old now.

Focus on more artsy/book clubs? Spend more time chatting up people at trader joes and target?

I’d like to have kids and really feel like I’m running out of time here.

What are some of the places where you think you had a big edge meeting women either because they weren’t the typical places, were just bolder than others, or it’s just something you haven’t really heard other people do?

I’m in the DC area if that helps. (aware of museum events, etc but kind of sick of the same old thing). I’m fairly successful with career, but mostly just an average 6/10 looking type dude on the shorter side (5’9).
