I just found a report from Czech statistical office about names given to newborns in 2022. (sadly I couldn’t find a 2023 report). And it made me curious about popular names in other countries.

Top names given in Czech republic in 2022 were:

|Male names|Female names|
|:-|:-|
|Jakub|Eliška|
|Jan|Viktorie|
|Matyáš|Anna|
|Adam|Sofie|

As for the North Basque Country, that’s more difficult to acertain, as the names are only officially recorded on a departmental basis, as the North Basque Country is subsumed in the Pyrenées-Atlantiques. I can however tell you the names of the babies born at the Centre Hospitalier de la côte Basque or the Belharra clinic, both located in Baiona. Baiona is where the majority of parents living in the North Basque Country go to give birth, although some of the births there are not from people living in the Basque Country, but from parents who come there to give birth from the neighbouring Landes region. There are around 300 births at the hospital in Donapaleu [Saint-Palais], in the interior of the Basque Country, but I haven’t been able to find figures for there.
