The recent post on bagels and the observation that the farther you are from New York City the worse they get got me thinking. What cities/states do you view as having the absolute best version of a particular American food item? Maine and lobster, New Haven and pizza (at least the thin kind) and Milwaukee and brats come to mind. Others?
