I 18M met this girl 19F in the gym. We often smiled at each other and started talking in the gym. I didn’t think much of it but we started to talk more and more. The last two weeks things went even further and we are constantly talking in the gym and I make her laugh so easily. We just click very well. One time she sat on the ground next to me when I was doing an exercise and we talked for more than an hour by that exercise. Another time she asked if I wanted to join her in her spinning class. Then one time I was exercising together with her when her mom came (she is in the same gym). Obviously I introduced myself and her mom told me she already knew me. Apparently the girl had told about me to her mom. And one last remarkable thing was that one night she sniffed my hoodie like 4 times because she thought I smelled nice.
After these two weeks I left the country for a weekend so I couldn’t see her. That weekend is this weekend. At this time suddenly I couldn’t think about anything or anyone else than her. I only saw her as a friend in the beginning but she is really the sweetest girl I’ve ever met and she is beautiful so with all the attention that I got from her somehow she got stuck in my head. So this weekend I thought maybe I should make a move. But because I still thought maybe she just sees me as a friend I wanted to be sure she liked me. That’s why I posted a story on Instagram, because she once told me that you have to like a story if you like somebody. Also note that she asked for my Instagram instead of usually where I ask for someone’s Instagram. And indeed she liked the story so I was sure she liked me now, at least I thought.
That’s why I sent her a DM. At first she replied very enthusiastic. At some point she told me I needed to visit this restaurant, so I replied: I’ll do but you have to go with me, to try to ask her out. This was around 9pm and she didn’t reply until the morning. Sure she could’ve been asleep, but still. Then she answers: What a punishment. I thought oh she is joking so I said: I mean it. She replies after an hour: What do you mean. So I say: we are going together. And she only replied with: Pleasent, after two hours.
Now I don’t understand anything of this anymore. I thought it was obviously she liked me but when I ask her out she is dry suddenly? Can someone please help me.
