I’ve been to the UK over a dozen times, and one thing that has struck me is that public bathrooms are very often freezing cold in the winter. This is especially true in pubs and restaurants.
It’s very stark (and uncomfortable) to go from a cozy warm pub into an icy cold bathroom!
I’m Canadian and am very used to it being freezing cold outside, but I don’t get why you don’t want everyone to be comfortable everywhere indoors, including in the bathroom.
