This feels kinda niche or maybe I just feel like an outlier…

My father is older (80+) and old school. He has a computer and cell phone but doesn’t text, doesn’t really respond to emails, doesn’t video call, etc.

My in-laws, older (one 80+, the other 70+), don’t text. They use email but that’s about it. They have a cell phone but no interest in a smart phone.

Being a typical millennial, born 1984, my entire life is connected and evolves around some technology. As a communication option, it’s preferred for me.

I wish I could communicate with my father and in-laws easily but I feel like I have to do the regular phone call or email. Even worse, drive over and chat with them.

I’m curious if others have dealt with this and if it’s impacted your relationships. Maybe you moved past it somehow?

This is the classic boomer vs. millennial.
