how are y’all meeting people to go on dates and hang out with? i’m on the apps. i go out downtown/to bars at least one time a week. but i never get approached by guys in any social situations, and i don’t get matches on any of the apps. only one time in my life has someone approached me and bought me a drink downtown, and it was someone i wasn’t even remotely interested in. i try to put myself out there as much as possible, but it seems like no one wants to take the bait. i live in a college town with less than 100,000 people, so a lot of the dating pool is considerably younger. i would only be interested in men 25+, so this poses a challenge, although i frequent places where the “older” crowd goes. i personally don’t consider myself attractive, especially compared to the girls i see when i go out. i’ve also never been in a real relationship, and my “dating” history consists mostly of a handful of ghosting incidents. i’m at a point in my life where i would like to experience love but it seems as though the only being capable of showing me that is my dog.
