I tested positive for genital herpes. l’ve been a wreck since finding out & it’s my first outbreak so l’m in a lot of pain.
I can’t understand where it’s come from. The nurse said it could have been dormant for years and shown no symptoms.
I’ve been with my boyfriend for 6 months & I don’t think he has nor have any reason to think he’s been unfaithful.
Anyway I’m obviously going to tell him – I’ve done a lot of reading around it & realise how much more common it is than thought.
But l’m just scared that he, and anyone else that I might tell, will react badly and think I’m dirty and horrible. It’s just a lot to get my head around.
Does anyone have any advice please?
