Recently just found I have genital warts, got 1 and 2 smaller ones that I didn’t even notice removed. What I’m wondering is how contagious it is? I couldn’t find any clear answers specific to HPV that causes warts. The doctor said it’s not very contagious at all, and acted like it was no big deal. But I’m not so sure.
It sounds like it doesn’t matter if the warts are present or not, it is still contagious because there could be micro warts that I’m not aware of. **Is there a difference in how contagious it is, warts vs no warts?** I heard that warts are more often present when immune system is weak. **If I improved my immune system, would that help any with how contagious they are?**
**If I have sex with a woman (I’m a male btw), are the odds high that she will catch HPV from me?** Let’s say best case scenario I have no warts that I’m aware of, and I’ve taken steps to improve my immune system. **And if a woman were to catch an HPV that causes warts, what are the odds that warts show up?**
**And once it’s “cleared” (or neutralized by my immune system) after \~2 years, am I not contagious anymore?**
