I’ve seen on shows like big bang theory or grey’s anatomy, and many others, where managers talk down to staff all the time. It is even sort of glamourised for managers to be cut-throat and bossy and talk down to any colleagues below them on their particular career ladder. Does this happen a lot or are tv shows showing an inaccurate representation?

EDIT: Yes it sounds like UK where it is a mixed bag depending on company etc. I just find it weird that on tv shows they make it out to be an admirable quality, but maybe that has to do with writers opinion of the workplace in industries they don’t work in.
