I was watching [this video of a Joe Lycett comedy routine](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wS261_AGAoM) and he does an impression of someone who he considers to be a bit of a jobsworth at 4 mins, 15 seconds in.
I’ve noticed that there’s a stereotype where this kind of voice is associated with boring, jobsworth type people.
Why do you think this is?
Is this perception unique to the UK?

Just sounds a bit bland doesnt it?
For me it’s reminiscent of your stereotypical class nerd – a few of the nerds at school genuinely spoke like that – I’m guessing perhaps others noticed the same thing and worked it into films / jokes / routines and from thereon the idea took hold?
