My father is acquainted and friendly with a lot of people in his medium/small company, including the big cheese of it, the director.
My father is just an ordinary worker, not in any managerial positions whatsoever, upper or lower, just gets on with everyone.
He said he was just casually talking with the director and mention about a job. My dad asked about for his son (me), and the director said, he’ll hire me on the spot right away if he (I) want it.
I don’t know if I want to and should take the job. I wouldn’t want to take the opportunity that someone else might need/want more than me.
I also would hate the thought that I only got hired because “daddy asked” from my co workers(which would be true though).
It’d be in a different building (but same company) from where my father works but I’m 95% sure if I blunder at anything, it’d relay to my dad, so I’d feel an extra pressure to perform and won’t be able to relax at all during work.
It’s just a regular office job, mainly admin work, nothing fancy at all, but the my feelings and reasonings are still there. Any advice?
