Curious, as this conversation was brought up amongst friends and hadn’t even considered this being a red flag. I know multiple divorces are considered as much, but what about broken engagements?
For context, one of the friends in our group is 30 and she just came out of a broken engagement. Her first engagement was when she was 20 and she broke it off because she felt that was too young to get married and she didn’t want to move in with her partner. The second engagement, she broke it off because when she started planning the wedding her fiance admitted he wasn’t ready for marriage as he worried she would eventually divorce him.
I’m of the mind, now that I’ve been divorced, that it’s a green flag since it shows that she (and her exes( didn’t go through with a marriage knowing there were big problems and were being cautious. What’s your guys’s take?
