A friend of mine asked for space two months ago and hasn’t spoken to me since. Should I reach out or continue waiting, or is this a passive way of saying they don’t want to speak to me anymore?

I do understand that asking for space isn’t a friendship ender, it’s the two months part. For context there was no big fight prior.
