Hi there. We just had our living room painted. The job ran over by two days and we ended up paying an additional amount. I wasn’t overjoyed but whatever.
However, as I inspect it now, it appears to me like quite sloppy work.
Thoughts? Would you be expecting a lot better finishes than this or is it somewhat ok?
It looks decent overall but I will have to finish bits off myself which is annoying, and the attention to detail is poor to my eye.
It’s things like:
– The lines between colours are sloppy (pictured)
– Gloss on woodwork was supposedly one top coat but looks a bit patchy still.
– Messy looking gap between woodwork which will need to be caulked.
– Screws on woodwork not filled or painted.
– Top of cupboard doors not painted so look very messy when opened.
Am I being overly fussy or is it reasonable to have expected these things to be done, or done to a higher standard?
